BIOSENSOR LABORATORY – IC MONTELIBRETTI
DESCRIPTION:
The biosensor laboratory is equipped with electrochemical, optical, and spectrophotometric instruments: potentiostats, spectrofluorometer and microfluidic devices.
In particular, the structure allows:
– studies of fluorescence and UV / VIS spectroscopy for biophysical characterization and study of interaction between biological macromolecules, as well as development of natural or biomimetic bioreceptors;
– labeling with fluorescent probes, immobilization on different supports (e.g. electrodes printed on paper), modification with nanomaterials (e.g. carbon black), synthesis of biological hybrids for the construction of optoelectronic devices;
– optimization of electro-optical transduction systems.
