SHORT DESCRIPTION AND USEFUL INFO:
Integration of CNTs in plant biotechnology brought to light vast number of new findings, revealing the capacity of plant nanobiotechnology to support the development of a competitive bioeconomy. Based on these recent advances, the project explores the potential of CNT-based applications to enhance photosynthetic performance of microalgae and their fitness under conditions of large-scale cultivation. We focused on the development of experimental approaches to enable the interaction of photosynthetic machinery and CNTs, and on the unravelling the mechanism of such interaction.
