 SHORT DESCRIPTION AND USEFUL INFO:

To.Sca.Lab is an experimental and computational Laboratory located in Como (Northern Italy), jointly founded in 2012 by the University of Insubria and the Institute of Crystallography of the Italian CNR. The project merges theoretical and experimental expertise in Chemistry, Crystallography and Physics within a unifying project based on Scattering Techniques (from X-rays to Visible Light), aiming at reconstructing structural, microstructural and dynamic behavior of nanocrystalline, partially ordered and disordered materials at different length scales (ranging from atomic resolution up to the mm size), and to correlate it with the material functional properties. To.Sca.Lab deals with basic and applied research projects, and also provides advanced teaching, through the organization of seminars and dedicated Summer Schools (Toscalake). To.Sca.Lab offers the advantage of a young and proactive environment, and promotes the spreading of knowledge on scattering techniques through the creation of a network of collaboration, at the National and International level.
