– Structural and functional studies on dystoglycan and its pathological mutants associated to limb-girdle muscular dystrophy.
– Structural and functional studies of Neurotrophins and proNeurotrophins.

– Structural and functional studies of neutralizing neuroantibodies of therapeutical interest (anti Abeta oligomers).

–  Research activity on quorum sensing LuxR-type transcriptional regulators of bacterial pathogens,  involved in bacteria-bacteria and plant-pathogen interactions by interkingdom signalling circuits.
