GeCry School – part 2: From Crystal to Structure

This school was designed for all those who want to approach crystallography as a technique for structural biology studies and who have limited or no experience in this field. The main goal of the school was to provide the tools for determining the crystallographic structure of a protein target from data collected from an X-ray diffraction experiment.

Due to the pandemic, the session initially planned for March 2020 at Elettra synchrotron, was postponed 21-25 September 2020 as a fully online training course.

Students participating in the course attended common theoretical sessions and were divided in groups for the rotation tutorials. Virtual machines with the necessary software and training datasets were provided in advance of the session and participants were invited to use their own computers to practice and solve problems posed during the training.
