2007: PhD in Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. C. Pedone, Department of Biological Science, University of Naples. During PhD worked at Edinburgh University under the supervision of Prof Mark Bradley on “Non enzymatic method for single nucleotide polymorphism analysis”.

2008: Post-doctoral Research Fellows at IBB-CNR on project entitled “Peptide-PNA chimera mimetic of Ni superoxide dismutase (SOD) binding site”.
2009-2011: Awarded Marie Curie fellowship (CEMP) : Development of novel PNA based molecular probes for the detection of c-Myc mRNA.
2011-2012: Senior Post-doctoral Research Fellow in Chemistry at RCSI founded by TIDA and Science Foundation Ireland.
2013-nowdays: Researcher at IC-CNR

Organic synthesis: solution and solid phase synthesis, asymmetric organocatalysis, multicomponent reaction, microwave assisted synthesis.

Oligonucleotide synthesis: manual and automated DNA, DNA analogues, PNA, chimeric DNA/PNA, peptide synthesis.

Purification: organic molecules, peptides, oligonucleotides, PNA, chimeric DNA/PNA.

Chemical characterization of PNA, DNA, chimeric DNA/PNA, peptides and organic molecules (NMR).

Mass Spectrometry: MALDI-TOF ed ESI-MS

Spectroscopic techniques: Fluorescence, IR, UV, CD.
